Video Editor, Producer, Motion Graphics Designer

Charlotte, NC

Lover of videos and sport, especially when combined.

Hi, I’m Emmie, a post-production specialist with a lifelong passion for video. I started editing for friends at the age of 14, and my love for storytelling through film only grew from there. In 2014, I earned my degree in Film Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and since then, I’ve been working as a video professional.

After college, I discovered that my true passion lies in sports editing and production. I moved to Charlotte, NC, and took on a video editor and videographer role at Sporting News. This opened doors to work with incredible companies and organizations, including NBCUniversal, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), BET365, the PGA Tour, the ATP Tour, the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF), and many more. My most recent full-time role was as Senior Video Editor & Producer at Sift, a full-service video production company.

In August 2024, I returned to freelancing, driven to reignite my creative energy and build new connections within the industry. Since founding Emmie Kerschen Leary, LLC, I’ve had the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as Andy Roddick’s podcast Served, the PGA of America, and the Charlotte Sports Foundation, while continuing to collaborate with long-time clients like Sift, the ATP, the WTA, and the ITHF. I’ve also gotten back into on-site editing, traveling to exciting places like Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Indian Wells, California to cover various tennis tournaments.

Whether your project is in sports or outside the realm of athletics, I’m excited to help bring your ideas to life through expert video editing, motion graphics, color correction, and audio enhancement. Let’s create something amazing together!
